The Ventures came to Chicago on 5/17/08 and had one night show at Beverly Arts Center.  I attended the concert with my family and we were lucky enough to sit on the first row.  My daughter video taped most of the concert except two songs (Surf Rider & Let's go)   Hope you enjoy the concert as much as we did.

Walk Don't Run, Perfedia, Bull Dog Bob Spalding opened the show with this medley with the other 3 members Wild & Wooly: Bob Spalding continued to play lead solo on this number. Penetration: Nokie Edwards switched from bass to lead. He played with his HitchHiker Slaughter on 10th Ave: Nokie continued with this familiar tune of the 60's Apache: Another 60's tune, made famous by The Shadows. El Cumbanchero: Nokie fingerpicked this country tune. Secret Agent Man: Nokie played the famous TV Theme song by Johnny River. Ghost Riders: Don Wilson played the lead for this number. Nokie added some fancy solo during the bridge part. My Bonnie Lies: Nokie played this old Twist tune from the 60's Let Go Nokie played this hand clapping song. Pipeline: Nokie played this famous surf tune. Wipe Out: The Ventures usually play this number to end their 1st set Driving Guitar: The Ventures started the 2nd set with this number Yellow Jacket: Nokie played this popular tune of The Ventures Surf Rider Nokie played this tune which was composed by him Tel Star: Nokie played this number from The Ventures Space Albums I've got a woman: Nokie fingerpicked this country tune. I broke it into two parts because of the length Caravan II: Part II featured Leon Taylor's amazing drum playing
